Making-of: Audi R8 LMS |

Once again we would like to show you a little insight view into our VLN 2009 project and introduce you to our Audi R8 LMS. From the beginning of the new project we headed for the implementation of the spectacular customer racing product from Ingolstadt. At that time, we were aware of a project for rFactor R8 LMS, which was presented by RSG team. This was supposed to be a conversion of Team TRC `s Audi R8 GTR2. Without further ado we got in touch with the 'Raceskinning Group' and huddled together. There was no need of further discussions to organize this cooperation, which also,apart from the R8 LMS, bears its flowers. Thus, Pavel and Berzerk Team RSG, joined NLC a short time later and pulled together with us. For the R8 LMS related cooperation between the two teams, not only new skins (RSG) were planned, new physics and new sounds (from Fonsecker himself) were supposed to be created, but also the 3d-model should be fundamentally overhauled. Rafael1976 took on this task and was not squeamish. In the past six months 75% of all polys were moved and some parts, such as for example the rear or the interior, were completely rebuilt. From the original solely remained roof and doors. The goal of all these changes is to create the most authentic R8 LMS and look-a-like's in all simulations.
With the insights from the development time of the 3d model we want to convey on which level we are now working on. Considering the quality we expect a huge leap to our 'VLN 2005' Mod. Although we now have more manpower than several years ago, we are not only using it to approach faster. Instead we want to deliver a much more higher quality - with the motto "quality comes before actuality"

Hi folks.
In our first big preview a few weeks ago, we have shown you many different cars of our VLN 2009 project - germanys long distance championship. This time we will have a look exclusively at the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, which is a very popular car as you can see at the high-number of starters in the Porsche-Cup-class. We have gained permission using GSMF`s beautiful model, which was rebuilt by Matthi to the 2008 bodykit. We hope you like the level of detail, that has been put in those skins.
